Subsurface Global are actively recruiting for a Geomechanics Technical Authority to join our client, an E&P operator, in either London or Aberdeen. The position is offered on a staff basis.

The role will report to the Global Director for D&W, and will be part of a multidiscipline support and assurance team for the global organization. 

All candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities of the successful incumbent will include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as TA1 for Geomechanics discipline for the client
  • Define clients' standard for Geomechanics discipline
  • Define safety critical competencies for Geomechanics function
  • Establish safety critical competency management system for Geomechanics function
  • Support and train the client to increase knowledge and skills for GM discipline
  • Support Subsurface in plume modelling in relation to CO2 injection wells in New Energy Storage projects
  • Audit and assure compliance with global geomechanics discipline technical standard
  • Work closely with Operations Geologists and Drilling Engineers on all well delivery and well planning related matters.
